Written by Allan Hoeltje on September 3, 1993 using NTK 1.0b4. It's just a simple Restaurant Tip calculator but it can be handy in real situations. I have included the source project so feel free to cut and paste if you find the code to your liking. I have tested it extensively so it should be as stable as any Newton App you will find on the market. ;-)

Additions to version 1.1, November 3, 1993 ...
The tax and tip rates are saved in the system soup so they now survive a hard reset. The tax and tip rates are NOT removed from the soup if you remove the application. The check total field is a little larger to make entry easier. Sanity checks are performed on the various input fields to prevent the Newton from crashing on bad numeric data. Compiled using NTK 1.0b7c1.
